You benefit from our experience. We have handled hundreds of web sites over years of working in the field, and we bring this depth of experience to work for you.

We invite you to ask us tough questions about the web, and we ask that you be prepared to think creatively, strategically, and practically about your web site.

Review our service outline below and contact us to find out more.

How it works

  1. Initial meeting. We start by meeting with the person from your organization who will become our key point-of-contact. We review your web site and your web strategy, and we walk away with a sense of the changes to immediately start on.

  2. We start working. Our standard package includes up to 5 hours per month of site editing and advising.

Site editing includes activities such as adding or taking away text, images, and links.

Advising includes activities such as consulting with your staff on preparing written copy for web pages, assisting with top-level web strategies, and providing an assessment of the usability strengths and weaknesses of your site.

  3. Monthly summaries. At the start of every month, we'll provide an email to our contact person that summarizes the prior month's activities.

Pricing and billing

For $250 per month, the standard package includes the initial meeting, five hours of production/advising time per month, and a monthly email report of our activities.

Add-on services

$75 per month — Web site traffic analysis

Part of thinking critically about your web is having a sense of your most visited pages, where your visitors most often leave your site, what keywords people use when they find your site on search engines, and what other web sites are directing traffic to you.

Each month, we'll provide a customized analysis report of your web traffic, and over time we can identify important trends. This add-on service requires that your web server makes the log files for your site available.

$50 per hour over the standard 5 hours

If you need more time than the baseline five hours, we are happy to provide the extra service at our discounted maintenance rate of $50 per hour.

Some common questions

Is five hours enough?

Quite often, it is. We don't include the initial meeting, nor do we include the monthly activity reporting in those five hours — that time is reserved for site editing and advising. And, quite frankly, we work efficiently. If periods of editing or advising need more than five hours, we can add additional hours at a rate of $50 per hour.

What are the terms of payment?

At the close of each month, we submit an invoice for the amount due. Payment is due within 15 days (Net 15). While we prefer to be paid by check, we can accept credit card payments online as well. Contact us for alternate payment options.

How quickly are edits made?

Depending on the extent of the edits, we often make the change within one business day.

Does this include search engine optimization (SEO)?

We can pay special attention to SEO, if that is a priority for your site. We like to keep our clients' web sites in shape by focusing on usability, accessibility, and clean markup code. A benefit of this is that sites we manage become naturally search engine friendly.

Can you help with Section 508 (ADA) requirements?

If your organization is part of the U.S. federal goverment or is sponsored by federal government programs, your site must be accesible to people with disabilities. And, to truly serve the full web audience, all other web sites should be accessible as well.

Our staff has been trained in making accessible web sites and, as general practice, we produce web sites using valid markup that matches up with web standards. This practice actually puts us well on the way to building sites that are accessible to people with disabilities. We are happy to take the extra steps to make your site compliant with Section 508 regulations.

What if we need more than advising and maintenance?

Many of our clients became our clients because their web sites needed a complete overhaul or they didn't even have a site to begin with. We are happy to provide free initial consultations and an estimate on a site design or redesign, if that is needed instead. We also work on sites that have advanced programming, database, security, or e-commerce requirements.
